‘Value Networks Analysis’ workshop by Verna Allee

On the 13th of June 2006, Network Authority Verna Allee, will facilitate a hands-on workshop. We will apply her groundbreaking Value Networks Analysis to explore the questions raised by the transformation to the networked environment.

What’s going on?
Consumers use the Internet and ’social software’ like weblogs, wiki’s and instant messaging to make your organization transparent in order to increase their buying power. As The Economist recently noticed, the consumer is ‘Finally Crowned’

Knowledge workers operate as self employed individuals and choose their clients. In networks like OpenBC and Linkedin, they increase their power relative to potential employers. Research by the United Nations indicates that a decreasing population of Knowledge workers is responsible for keeping Economic prosperity up in western countries.

Software suppliers for the Enterprise, like IBM and Microsoft are putting social networking functions into the next versions of their collaboration software. This will increase the transparency of the networks inside your organization.

What resources does your organization position to deal with this profound shift to intelligent networking? How do you attract the best knowledge workers?
