In the 50ys John Lilly( neurologist) developed the idea that restrictive sensory stimulation could have an relaxing influence on the body.
In the experience economy we are very much involved in sensory stimulation. The opposite
the restriction of stimuli can create an intense experience of relaxation and of well being.
Now floating, drifting in a saltwater tank, is twice as effective as yoga based on research of the Rotterdam school of management according to Dirk van Dierendonck.See also floatplaza.nl
