The European Centre for the Experience Economy not only generates new insights on social learning, it also actively supports social learning in the field.Mijke Bos, “ambassador Social Learning” of the European Centre for the Experience Economy and founder of Libre Expresion asks for your support. Libre Expresion believes that investing in development of young leaders in unequal societies through education and coaching with a focus on and access to communication (tools) is important to close gaps between indifferences in societies.
What do we need? Sponsorship for Wendy Aguilar of $6.000,- before the 15th of may 2007. With this she can direct the organization for minimum a year, continue her work with 50 youngsters affected/infected by HIV/AIDS and assist in writing the proposal to set up the Institute of Image, which in the end will beneficiate 200 youngsters on a yearly base.Please mail us or Mijke Bos if you want to support and make a contribution to social learning in Honduras.‘Libre Expresion’ is an experienced and recognized non-profit organisation, giving Honduran children and youngsters a complementary education in the field of social themes (like human rights, prevention of Hiv/aids, cultural diversity) by means of photography, in order to enhance their creative abilities and strengthen their life skills, like decision making, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships.
In the past 3 years Libre Expresion has worked directly with 3500 children and 250 teachers of public schools. Through their experience, they identified an increasing need in offering more longterm facilitation to these individuals with a lot of potential. Therefore association Libre Expresión has prepared a proposal to establish an educational institute in Communication and Entrepreneurship for young leaders in Honduras to facilitate their strong desire in develop themselves as young professionals and to be able to do create positive change in their own community and country.
Wendy Aguilar is one of these talented persons, born in a marginal neighborhood of the capital of Honduras. She has done several projects for Libre Expresion. Wendy is currently steering the organization and coordinates projects in Honduras. Wendy does not receive a year salary; she works for Libre Exresion on project-base. Libre Expresion would like to offer Wendy social and financial security: a labor agreement, so that she can continue her work for Libre Expresion.
